The
Costa Rican, Caribbean Rain Forest has
all the distinctive features that give
tropical rain forests their popular image.
The
trees are gigantic; the evergreens and
festooned with an exuberant growth of
lianas and epiphytes. There are giant
strangler figs and a rich assembly of
palms, both large and small.
A rich diversity of animals include jaguars,
anteaters, monkeys, tapir, brightly colored
frogs and tropical birds such as toucans
and parrots.
Approximately 65 hectares of spectacular
rain forest located about a 45-minute
drive from Puerto Viejo in the Valle La
Estrella region of Costa Rica, which is
part of the Cahuita National Park and
very near the Talamanca Indian reservation.

airport is planned for Limon, which is
approximately one hour away. The site
is reached by a gravel road among beautiful
farms and banana and pineapple plantations
and a reasonable hike.
The land is filled with rich soils that
have produced thousands of giant tropical
trees that are hundreds of years old and
abundant tropical foliage, including delicious
hearts-of-palm. There is a great variety
of tropical wildlife both large and small
and over four large streams and many waterfalls.
There
is a beautiful ocean view from one part
on the property.
